Gratitud, socially responsible tourism in El Pallars
Gratitude is the appreciation you feel towards something or somebody and the desire to respond in some way. It is an extraordinarily positive emotion that strengthens ties and feelings of belonging. Those who are able to express their gratitude are the first to benefit as it is a sentiment that engenders a spiritual sense of well-being, and one that helps in times of difficulty.
The Gratitud Project aims to repay nature, the landscape and the region in its broadest sense for all it does for us. Its goal is to strengthen the ties between people – both local and visitors – and the region via programmes promoting nature conservation and care for our cultural heritage.
Who we are
The Gratitud Project was set up by the Association Marques de Pastor, the Leader Pirineu Occidental Consortium, and a series of volunteers committed to promoting the cultural and natural heritage of the Pyrenees. Marques de Pastor is the guiding force behind the ecotourism project El Cinquè Llac, a five-stage circular walking route that follows the old cart trails of the counties of Els Pallars and L’Alta Ribagorça.
